SciWorld presents at schools, Open Days, fetes, fairs, and community events. We can present science shows, run robotics and electronics workshops, inflate the Stardome for astronomy sessions, and bring hands-on science exhibits to indoor venues of varying size.

For school bookings, vacation care and OSHC please visit our Program Information or SciWorld Events pages for details on shows, workshops and booking fees. Please note: our minimum daily booking fee is $450 to cover presenter and transport costs.

For pre-schools, child care centres and kindies, consider our ‘Science Explorers’ 90-minute workshop for $265. It’s an incredibly popular hands-on educational Science experience!

Our exhibits and presenters are for hire! We will need ramp access to the venue, as well as tables to put the exhibits on. This year you’ll find us all around South Australia in our regional SciWorld Sundays as well as at Science Alive, during National Science Week and at various schools holding Science Expo days. In 2012 we held a very successful Science Expo at Mark Oliphant College. We were also at the first LEGO LEAGUE Tournament which was held at Prince Alfred College. We attended the 2011 Crystal Brook Show and Gawler Show with hands-on science experiments for show-goers, Tour Down Under 2011, 2011 Playford Alive Science Expo, the 2010 Education Expo, and School Science Expos at Tanunda, Lobethal and Mount Barker in 2010.

Have you crawled inside the SciWorld StarDome at SciWorld Sunday events, and at National Science Week’s Science Alive event?

It looks like a giant space ball, and it is available for hire with a SciWord presenter for $650 a day for astronomy sessions for schools and groups. The night sky is projected all around you inside the the StarDome, and an experienced presenter leads the students on a journey of discovery designed to stimulate their interest in the world around them. Sessions run for 20 minutes (recommended for mixed-age groups and general public), 45 minutes (recommended for schools and special interest groups) or 60 minutes. Ideal for ages 5 and up, with the presentation tailored to the various age-groups. Topics covered can include day and night, seasons, stars, planets, solar system, gravity, phases of the moon, and constellations.
