Dr Jane Wright
Dr Jane Wright is the Chairman of SciWorld and also of SciWorld’s Education Committee,  and is a past winner of the Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Secondary Schools during her long teaching career at Loreto College.  She believes strongly in “putting something back” into the community and is a past president of both the South Australian and the Australian Science Teachers Associations, and has had membership of numerous committees involved with teaching standards, awards and professional development. “I have gotten to know a fantastic community of science teachers, who have enriched my teaching.”  Jane is also President of the South Australian Science Teachers Association.


Prof Rob Morrison
Professor Rob Morrison is a freelance science communicator and broadcaster, and Professorial Fellow at Flinders University of South Australia.
Rob Morrison has written 34 books on science and natural history and co-hosted the long-running national television program Curiosity Show, which screened in 14 countries.
He has won many national and international awards, including the Australian Government Eureka Prize for the Promotion of Science, and the inaugural South Australian Government award for Excellence in Science Communication. In 2004, he was awarded the Order of Australia for Science Communication and Conservation and was the Senior Australian of the Year for South Australia in 2008.


Dr Deane Hutton
Dr Deane Hutton is a Futurist who has worked professionally as a teacher, lecturer, writer, television presenter, film producer and entertainer in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
He gives keynote presentations at more than 40 venues each year (business conferences, seminars and schools) – speaking about science, technology and the future.
Deane has degrees in Science and Education from the University of Adelaide and a PhD in Visual Perception and Message Design from Indiana University. He has particular interests in brain structure and function and interpersonal communication.
He has worked as a science presenter on television in Australia – Curiosity Show (18 years), Hey Hey It’s Saturday (7 years), Channel Seven News and The New Inventors. Also, Deane has presented talkback radio segments on science issues on FiveAA in Adelaide, and science and technology radio broadcasts through Asia and Africa on Radio CVC.


Dr Barbara Hardy AO
SciWorld’s first Life Member Barbara Hardy AO is SciWorld’s founding Patron and one of the nation’s leading advocates for the benefits of ‘hands-on’ science. With a degree in Earth Sciences from Flinders University and a passion for the environment, Barbara has applied her ‘patience, persistence and perspiration’ to many organisations and issues, including the Conservation Council of SA, the Australian Heritage Commission, Landcare, Nature Foundation SA, The Investigator Science and Technology Centre and SciWorld


Peter Nolan
Peter is a politically astute executive and director, with over 20 years’ experience in strategy, corporate governance, business transformations and has a wealth of commercial experience. Peter has delivered effective business turnaround and improvement strategies in a variety of industry sectors. Peter has a diverse range of skills but enjoys specialising in strategic planning, organisational development and cultural change initiatives.
Peter has extensive experience in the Vocational Education and Training sector, in Group Training Organisations and in Registered Training Organisations. With experience in construction and mining, he has also led organisations in the hospitality and property sectors.


Sam Donato
Sam has over 30 years of experience in leadership, management, business development and customer service. Sam brings his extensive knowledge to help people grow professionally and personally. Sam has worked with major retails chains in a management role and is currently the Director of Auctus Training and Education, a training organisation with expertise in Management, Business, Workplace Health & Safety and Health and Community Care. Since establishing and leading Auctus in 2005, together with a team of industry specialists, he has been providing training, coaching and consulting to individuals and companies, to assist them in achieving their personal, career and business goals easier, with more clarity and in an effective way.



Anthony Taylor
As a qualified Physics and Chemistry Teacher, all senior roles held in General and Human Resources Management have been within education and training organisations both within the not-for-profit and private sector.  Specialist knowledge and skills include General & HR Management, Talent Acquisition & Recruitment, Employee/Industrial Relations, Learning & Development, Workplace Health & Safety, RTO Management, Compliance Auditing, Tender Writing, Information Technology, Finance & Administration.  Qualifications include a Bachelor of Education (Phys/Chem), Graduate Certificate of Education, Diploma of Quality Auditing and Diploma of Training & Assessment Systems.
